If you recognise the design of the site then I apologise. It is indeed a re-incarnation of my previous West Country Genealogy site with a broader scope. I was getting too many general UK queries and, in addition, I came across some books for other areas at a reasonable price; so decided to extend the site. I hope you approve!
I am developing this site mainly around my own interests, namely UK genealogy but specifically that of the West Country counties of Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Dorset. Most of the information I have dates from before 1800, although some is more recent.
I am in the process of scanning or transcribing many rare books which will be made available on the site and to purchase on CD-ROM. This is a mammoth task but will be a valuable resource for anyone researching their UK roots. Some of this is already online.
I would welcome any suggestions which you may have for ways I can improve this site.
