Butsfield, a scattered village in Satley parish, Durham, on Watling Street, adjacent to the Weardale Extension railway, 5 1/2 miles NNE of Wolsingham. Post town, Satley ; money order and telegraph office, Lanchester. Knitsley, 3 miles distant, is the railway station.
