Description

Cleadon, a village in Whitburn parish, Durham, on the coast, 3 miles SSE of South Shields, with a station called Cleadon Lane, on the N.E.R. It has a post office under Sunderland; money order and telegraph office, Whitburn. There is a chapel of ease and a Wesleyan chapel.
