Aubourn, a township and a parish in Lincolnshire. The township lies on the river Witham, near the Fosse Road, 2 1/2 miles W of Harmston station on the G.N.R., 3 S of Thorpe station on the M.R., and 7 SW by S of Lincoln, and includes the hamlet of Marlborough. The parish includes also part of the township of Haddington. Post town, Lincoln; money order and telegraph office, Bassingham. Acreage, 1860; population of the civil parish, 201; of the ecclesiastical, 243. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £292. The new church, erected in 1862-63, is a building of stone in the Early English style. The chancel of the old church remains; it contains several interesting monuments, and is used as a mortuary chapel. There is also a Wesleyan chapel.
