Authorpe, a parish in Lincolnshire, on the Wolds, with a station on the G.N.R., 4 1/2 miles NW of Alford. The post town is Louth, which is the money order and telegraph office. Acreage, 941; population, 119. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln; net value, £180. The church, which was rebuilt in 1848, and repaired in 1884, is a small building of brick and stone. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
