Description

Brauncewell, a parish in Lincolnshire, 3 miles WNW from Ruskington station on the G.E. & G.N. Joint railway, and 5 NNW from Sleaford. Post town, Lincoln; money order and telegraph office, Wellingore. Acreage, 2682; population of the civil parish, 148; of the ecclesiastical, with Anwick, 422. The living is a rectory, united with the vicarage of Anwick, in the diocese of Lincoln; gross value, £780 with residence. The church is a building of stone in the Early English style. Dunsby St Andrew is a hamlet 1 1/2 mile SW. It was formerly a parish, and the parish of Brauncewell was at one time designated Brauncewell-with-Dunsby.
